Thanks for visiting anniebee.co.uk here is a little bit about your designer and maker.

My name is Annie Walsh, I was born and raised in Kilwinning in the West of Scotland. I am a recent graduate of Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, Scotland. I have an Honours degree in 3 Dimensional Design, specialising in jewellery design. Currently I am living and working in Inverness.

Presently the underlying theme of my work is recycling, but I am also interested in how binge drinking and gambling fit into today’s society. I am interested in how these negative aspects of British life are becoming “fashionable” and want my work to reflect this whilst also helping people to become aware of the need for recycling.

The main materials I have been using are ring pulls from drinks cans and old playing cards along with some poker chips and dice to represent and reflect the issues I am concerned with. In doing this I am also recycling these items with the intent of helping people realise simple, everyday objects can be re-used in a variety of ways. I intend to gradually introduce new material and themes to my work so as to cater for all my customers so come back soon to keep up to date with my work. My work is suitable for everyday wear but slightly extravagant combining just the right mix of ordinary and extraordinary.
